Summer School on Computational Materials Science

This short course explored a wide range of computational approaches used for the simulations of electron devices and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS).  The first week covered nanotransistors, molecular devices and MEMS. The second week covered continuum (drift-diffusion), particle Monte Carlo, and quantum approaches for device simulation, and introduced applications of carbon nanotubes and biological ion channels.  Practical simulation experience was stressed using a variety of computational tools available on-line at the Purdue Computational Hub (PUNCH).
